One year later....

That's right, the "Kitchen" is one year old today. I have been wracking my brain trying to think of some awesome post to commemorate the occasion. A delicious recipe, Jean's Chocolate Marshmallow Brownies fit the bill, cool pictures, Mom's Colorado adventure, family history, Dowsett Island on deck or maybe a final gardening post, the wrap up for the season.

Although I like those ideas (and they will probably all find there way here this month), I decided on a simple "Thank you".

To my 13, thanks for following along.
To everyone who has paid a visit, over 13,000 page views, thanks for stopping by.
To all the people who have emailed me with contributions to the histories, corrections, family pictures, recipes or just plain old well wishes and encouragement, thank you.
For every comment, thanks for the feedback
For every blog I've visited, thanks for the inspiration.
To my cousin RoryBore, my touchstone for all things blog related. I can't thank you enough.

The response to the blog has been great. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I never though I would enjoy the experience this much. I tip my hat to you all and hope you will continue to enjoy your time in my "Kitchen".

(Now, I want a piece of that cake, ROFL)
